Game Modes

As mentioned before, there are only a handful of game modes in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Each of these game modes has a variety of maps that you can play on, and you can choose to play Search and Destroy, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, or Domination. - Search and Destroy - This mode has teams of two fighting it out on one of the game’s nine Search and Destroy maps. This is done by dropping the flag onto a gravity well and then picking it up again when you’re ready to go. - Domination - In this game mode, two teams of 32 compete to capture and hold various points on the map. Your team scores one point for each point you capture, and the first team to capture four points wins the match. If you have trouble remembering the difference between TDM and Domination, Domination is the same thing as TDM with a different name.

Maps

Like we said, there are only nine Search and Destroy maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but each one is unique and offers a different experience from the one before. Now, if you’re confused about what a map is, here’s a quick breakdown for you. Maps are the areas you play in, and they’re linked to a Search and Destroy game mode. - Ambon - Set in the South Pacific, this map is a small, grassy area with a few trees and a small body of water. It’s an open map that’s easy to flank, so you need to be careful when you’re trying to take objectives on this map. - Backlot - This is a large, abandoned industrial area with a handful of buildings and some surrounding grass. Classes and Perks
