What is CS:GO about?

CS:GO is a tactical shooter where two teams, Terrorists (T) and Counter-Terrorists (CT), compete in rounds. T's aim to plant a bomb at one of two sites or eliminate all CTs. CTs must prevent the bomb or defuse it. The first team to win 16 rounds wins the game, and sides switch after 15 rounds. The T team has 1:55 minutes to complete their objective and the bomb takes 40 seconds to explode if not defused.
